At DYB, we are all hoping to be able to move forward with our season at some point this spring. I particularly appreciate the efforts of the DYB Board members, who are working hard to ensure that we respond to this crisis in the best manner. DYB will continue to monitor the latest information from local, state, and federal authorities and align with their guidance.
In alignment with the Town of Dedham policy to postpone all Dedham Youth Baseball events on town property until restrictions have been lifted,
DYB has postponed all indoor practices and clinics at 5 Tool performance scheduled.. We are currently working with the 5 Tool Performance owners to understand their plan of action and when it is acceptable to resume the clinics.
Registration will remain open and the Board does recommend registering now. Doing so allows the Board to begin to prepare now for the number of teams needed and roster size, as well as the number of games to be scheduled once restrictions are lifted.
After all, Baseball in July doesn't sound like a bad idea
The Board’s next regularly scheduled meeting is Monday, June 8th. We’re hopeful to provide additional details shortly thereafter.
